We know that oats can be used in lots of different ways. However, sometimes it's hard to think of anything new and test ideas just in case they don't turn out right. This is where we come in, we've collected our favourite recipes from our friends/followers and now we're going to share them with you! Please do try them out, and let us know how you liked them!
Overnight Oats
This is the perfect recipe to try now as it's starting to get warmer!- 55g oats
- 120ml cold water, milk or fruit juice
- Toppings of choice
Add your oats to a bowl or glass, add in the water or milk, stir, and leave in the fridge overnight! In the morning your oats will be ready and you can add anything you like! Maybe some fruit and honey? Or whatever you fancy..
If you want to recreate our version, make it a sweet treat by adding caramel sauce and chocolate to the mix! It makes a delicious dessert too.
Yummy Oaty Bakes
We think these look delicious!- 40g oats
- 2 eggs
- 4 tablespoon yoghurt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
Mix it all the ingredients together, shape into discs and bake for 30 minutes on 180. Once baked add whatever topping you'd like! Easy peasy!
Fruit Trifle
What a lovely take on a classic!- Oats
- Granola
- Fruit
- Nuts and seeds
- Yoghurt
Layer oats, then granola, then your fruit and nuts- top with your yoghurt and seeds! Perfect for breakfast!
Scrumptious Cookies
Who doesn't love cookies!?

150g dry TGBPC porridge mix
-
1 teaspoon baking powder
-
2 tablespoon melted coconut oil
-
3 tablespoon milk (of your choice)

Pinch of rock salt
Mix everything together in a large bowl with a wooden spoon till well combined into a dough like consistency. Leave for 5 minutes.
Divide the mixture into 6 even pieces. Roll each roll into a ball then squash between your hands into a cookie. Place on a cooking tray lined with grease-proof paper.
Cook till golden at the edges approx 10 to 15 minutes on 180c then when cooked take off using a slice and leave to cool on a wire rack.
*TIP* If you’d like them sweeter then substitute 1 of the spoonfuls of milk for maple syrup.
Tasty Oat Slices
Yum! What a treat, and so quick too!- TGBPC porridge oats
- Banana
- Blueberries
- Cinnamon
Mix your porridge with cold water until consistency is runny, add mashed bananas, blueberries cut in half, and add cinnamon to taste.
Mix everything again. Let mixture stand for about 5 mins then put in oven 150/160 C and bake until it has gone golden brown.
